In a significant development strengthening India’s growing movement toward sustainable governance, climate leadership, and nation-building, the Unity of Nations Action for Climate Change Council (UNAccc) has officially appointed senior BJP leader Mr. Sudhir Dedge as the Central India Vice Chairman & National Board Member of the organization.
This strategic appointment marks a major step in expanding UNAccc’s leadership network by bringing experienced policymakers, civic administrators, and influential public representatives into the organization’s global mission focused on sustainability, environmental action, smart governance, and humanitarian collaboration.
Mr. Sudhir Dedge is a well-known political personality from Indore and a respected senior member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Over the years, he has earned recognition for his consistent contribution to public welfare, urban governance, civic administration, and developmental initiatives across the region.
Having served as a City Corporator representing Ward No. 70 under the Indore Municipal Corporation, Mr. Dedge played a key role in local governance and administrative planning. During the leadership tenure of former Mayor Malini Gaud, he was entrusted with the prestigious Planning & Information Technology portfolio — a significant responsibility reflecting his strategic administrative capabilities and forward-thinking approach.
Mr. Dedge is also recognized as a close supporter and associate of veteran Indore leader and former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, whose political legacy and public service continue to inspire leaders across India.
One of Mr. Dedge’s widely discussed initiatives came in 2017, when he proposed restoring the historical identity of Indore by renaming it “Indur,” linking the city’s cultural heritage to the ancient Indreshwar Mahadev Temple and reviving awareness around India’s traditional civilizational roots.
